The Amador County Arts Council has in the past provided funding to both Amador and Argonaut High Schools to have artists on their campuses for the school year. 

This program helps provide art to high schools in areas that are not served by the general teaching staff. 

During the school year of 2001-02, the ARTS COUNCIL helped fund dance classes at Amador High School, and the new revised drama program at Argonaut High School.
