Each year, students from Amador County may apply for the 500 spots at CSSSA in Valencia, California. The application requirements include submission of audition tapes, writing samples, portfolios of their work, slides, film clips and storyboards. In addition, they must have two letters of recommendation from their teachers and submit the formal application. The Amador County Arts Council receives a grant to honor these students and provide scholarships to offset the cost.
